How do you feel when you walk through your home? If you’re having coffee or tea in the kitchen, do you feel bright and awake? When guests walk through your home’s entryway, do they feel welcomed by its soft light and style or hushed by a dark hallway?

One Response to “Emotional Rooms”

Susan Says:

This concept helped me pick out a color for the kitchen in my new house. Normally, I like a yellow kitchen, but with light cabinets, counters and tile the room was feeling very neutral and blah. I wanted it to feel more lively, so I chose a reddish orange. Wow! Such a vibrant color really made the cabinets and counters pop–it was like getting a new kitchen. I never would have gone with a bold color like orange if I hadn’t thought about how I wanted the room to feel.
